Utilities eating away at your budget? Want to go green without breaking the bank? PE Consulting can help. We wrote the book on going green and efficient without breaking the bank. Let's start with the energy audit. You may be eligible for a professional-grade energy audit completely reimbursed by the state's SB1149 funding. The energy audit is the critical first step that establishes both short term operational and long term design improvements. Even if you were provided an audit several years ago, it may be time for a fresh look. Utility rates have gone up, technologies have improved and your operations may have even changed. Contact us and we'll set up a program to meet all your needs. Either way, it's a required first step. So, if you are considering modernization or reducing energy costs, you owe it to your school and parents to have the best. PE Consulting is one of the most capable and qualified energy engineering firms in the United States. Winner of the Prestigious 2009 International Renewable Energy project of the year award, PE Consulting is one of only a handful of companies qualified to provide energy audits for schools in the State of Oregon (as well as other states).
Free money? Well sort of. Senate Bill 1149, enacted in March of 2002, provides for the distribution of public purpose funds to public schools for energy efficiency projects. The bill specifies that the funds first must be used to conduct an energy audit (unless an energy audit has been performed within the last three years). Upon completion of the audit, additional funds can be used for weatherization and energy efficiency upgrades and energy conservation education programs. Additional funds also may be used to purchase electricity from clean energy sources or used to invest in on-site renewable power. For additional information, see Public Purpose Funds for SB 1149 Schools. More importantly, why continue wasting money on utility bills, maintenance headaches and services you may not need? We'll show you how to redirect energy costs back into your schools without "giving up the farm".

With populations booming and constantly on the move, the demand for water when and where we need it is becoming one of the most important issues of our time. To solve that challenge, PE Consulting designs green buildings that actually use water more efficiently and recycle it on site. By doing so, we can reduce and eliminate the need for massive, unsustainable infrastructure.
PE Consulting provides "green" engineering solutions for the built environment and new construction. Our LEED certified buildings outperform our peers because we offer a unique bundling of energy, water and resource management solutions that no one else can. With hundreds of energy efficient and environmentally sustainable designs and retrofits in our portfolio, we are uniquely qualified to modernize and certify your buildings.
Shifting our reliance from fossil fuels is critical to our long term survival on this planet.
